Introducing five superfoods that are our customers’ favorites and packed with antioxidants. You could use them in cold summer drinks, smoothies and baked goods and always keep them in the cupboard anyway. A healthy and strong organism is the first defense against bacteria and viruses!
Raw cacao
Much has been said about the benefits of cacao (don’t get it mixed up with cocoa). It is primarily considered a good source of magnesium, which supports the heart, aids brain function and digestion, relaxes muscles, helps with menstrual pain, helps strengthen bones, increases flexibility and alkalinity of the body. If the body has enough magnesium, the body’s blood supply improves and with it the oxygen balance and the availability of nutrients throughout the body. Magnesium deficiency has also been linked to heart disease and depression, so a piece of high-quality chocolate a day is not only allowed, but even recommended.
We recommend always giving preference to raw cacao and chocolate – raw food is prepared on the principle that none of the ingredients must be heated above 40 degrees Celcius, so all vitamins and minerals that can be destroyed at higher heat are fully preserved in the food.
Nature’s Finest raw cacao powder is made from Criollo quality raw cocoa beans (Theobroma cacao) from Peru. Criollo quality beans are called the king of cacao because they have a particularly pleasant and delicate taste.

Matcha
Matcha (Cammelia sinensis) is made from green tea leaves that are grown in a special way. Matcha tea leaves must be grown in a shady location and all tendrils and stems are removed before processing. For centuries, the Japanese have used matcha in tea ceremonies, and it’sis an indispensable stimulant in the life of Buddhist monks.
Grinding green tea leaves into a fine powder and whisking them into tea with hot water became popular as early as the Song Dynasty (960-1279). From there, this custom spread with Buddhist monks to Japan, where it is popular to this day. The production of matcha tea powder begins several weeks before the tea leaves are harvested, when the tea bushes are covered to protect them from direct sunlight.
Matcha tea is several times healthier than green tea, because when you drink matcha, you drink the dissolved tea leaves, but in the case of green tea, the tea leaves are extracted from the drink. One glass of matcha is equivalent to 10 glasses of green tea in terms of antioxidants and nutrients. Matcha boosts mood and increases concentration and speeds up metabolism (helps burn calories). In addition, matcha contains a lot of vitamin C, zinc, chromium and magnesium and is rich in fiber. Matcha also has a blood sugar-lowering effect and is considered a good tool to strengthen the body in fighting viruses.
Psyllium
Psyllium is a real helper for the stomach – due to its exceptionally high fiber content, it is suitable for fighting both constipation and diarrhea. Psyllium is a mild but effective remedy for digestion.
It is the crushed seed pods of the Indian tea leaf, which improve intestinal health and ease digestion. In addition, psyllium husks clean the intestines by binding harmful compounds and removing them from the intestines. Psyllium also promotes the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
Research has found another beneficial effect of psyllium – lowering cholesterol. Also, it is a good helper for those losing weight, because it creates a feeling of fullness for a long time and reduces appetite.
Psyllium does not have a specific taste and thus fits into any smoothie.
