The Argan, Flaxseed and Macadamia oils, strictly from certified organic cultivation, meet the different needs of each hair type and are characterized by the versatility of their use.

Thanks to the precious plant oils, Omia products are not just a beauty treatment, but also and above all, a true regenerative care for stressed, brittle and dull hair. Designed starting from the exceptional eudermic properties of natural oils, each treatment is characterized by the ability to penetrate and moisturise hair fibres that have been damaged by atmospheric agents (sun, rain, wind, humidity), styling and harsh chemical treatments.

The Omia Laboratories Macadamia hair oil may be used in several ways to meet the same needs:

Hair mask before shampooing: once a month, apply and massage the entire scalp with the oil chosen, concentrating on the ends and on the areas that need most care. Comb the hair to ensure even distribution of the oil, then cover the hair with a towel, preferably hot. Leave the mask on for one or two hours and then wash your hair as usual. To optimize the regenerative effect, you can leave the mask on, protected by a towel, for the entire night.

Before drying and styling: heat on or two sprays of the product, depending on the length of the hair, by rubbing between hands and apply the oil to damp hair after usual shampooing. Perfect treatment to protect hair from damage induced by the heat of blow dryers and hot irons; by using the oil in this way, you can reduce the drying time and further nourish the hair for a better final result.

Finissage after drying: apply one or two sprays, depending on the length, of product to dry hair after heating it between the hands. When applying oil in this phase, it makes the hair shiny, soft and naturally disciplined.

Each of the Omia Laboratories Hair Oils has its own specific characteristics; we recommend choosing one according to the main needs of your hair.

Origin and history:
Macadamia oil (Macadamia Ternifolia) is obtained by squeezing the Macadamia nut, a fruit native to Australia's rainforests. The species name is a tribute to John McAdam, a colleague of botanist Ferdinand Von Mueller who first described them in 1757. The oil has a light yellow colour, is smooth and has a neutral smell. The Macadamia tree, which can reach up to 12 meters high, is an evergreen plant and its cultivation outside of Australia is particularly widespread in Hawaii, Brazil, California and Malawi.
Originating in Australia, Macadamia nuts are an oilseed with the highest content of mono unsaturated fatty acids, valuable to our well-being. Macadamia offers benefits in both its food and cosmetic use since, thanks to the high content of essential fatty acids; it is widely recognized for its restructuring, nourishing, restorative and moisturising actions.

In fact, Macadamia nuts are a very nutritious fruit, rich in minerals (especially calcium and phosphorus) and vitamins A, E, B1 and B2. They also contain flavonoids, precious natural antioxidants, and high amounts of palmitoleic acid that make the oil have an absorption that is very similar to the epidermis.
Treatment for the skin and hair:
Macadamia nuts are subject to continuous laboratory studies since they are considered a real elixir of long life. The oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruit, which is now widely recognized as a valuable ally for the well-being of skin and hair and, therefore, is increasingly being used in cosmetic preparations.

In fact, the high content of mono unsaturated fatty acids of macadamia oil makes it an effective moisturising agent for skin and hair, limiting the ravages of time and cellular ageing. It protects the skin from the sun and wind and has the ability to maintain a stable level of hydration.
Particularly nutritive and emollient, it is absorbed easily and is appreciated for its ability to penetrate the top layer of tissue. Its special ability to penetrate the skin barrier helps convey the active ingredients through the skin and the hair, encouraging regeneration from the "inside" of the damaged fibres. Therefore, hair that is regularly treated with macadamia oil will have a softer appearance and become healthier, shinier and easier to disentangle.
