The red variety of quinoa has a slightly nutty flavor that can be enjoyed both cold and hot. It is suitable as a side dish with boiled rice, in salads and soups, or boiled into porridge. Quinoa is one of the most popular health foods. Quinoa looks similar to a grain, but it is actually a member of the spinach family. Its seeds are gluten-free, rich in protein, and it is one of the few foods that contains all nine essential amino acids.
Ingredients: red quinoa from organic farming.
Preparation: wash the quinoa thoroughly on a fine sieve under running water. Then let it boil with twice the amount of lightly salted water. Simmer under the lid on low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
