Eastern black walnut is a stately tree that grows up to 40m in height with a crown measuring up to 25m. It is native to eastern North America and was imported to Europe in the 17th century. Eastern black walnut is a monecious tree with round fruits containing an edible kernel. The hulls are collected and used internally in the form of an infusion, which can also be used externally as a wash.
