Henna powder is derived from the dried leaves of Lawsonia inermis, a plant used for millennia for ritual and decorative purposes, as well as for dyeing fabrics. Its reddish hue comes from glycosides that release a pigment (initially yellowish but turning red upon contact with air); depending on the concentration, this produces various shades in henna-based dyes. Henna is the only dye capable of bonding with hair keratin; unlike chemical dyes, it does not penetrate the hair shaft but instead attaches to the outer layer, or cuticle. The result is fuller, shinier hair that is also protected against external factors. Additionally, henna acts as an effective treatment for regulating sebum production and combating dandruff.

Ingredients: Lawsonia Inermis Leaf Powder.

With col red henna, you can achieve the following shades: copper-red on light brown hair; intense red on medium brown hair; copper tone on dark brown/black hair; Irish red on blonde hair. The resulting color continues to oxidize on the hair over the following days, becoming more intense. If possible, avoid washing your hair for three days after coloring.

Usage: mix henna powder with warm water, adjusting the quantity according to the volume of your hair. Add half a glass of vinegar or lemon juice. Cover the container tightly and let the mixture sit for 12 hours (about 6 hours in summer). Apply the mixture to completely clean, dry, or damp hair. Alternatively, the paste can be prepared using boiling water and half a glass of vinegar or lemon juice; in this case, the mixture can be applied to the hair immediately. Wrap your head in plastic wrap and leave it on for 1–3 hours. Rinse thoroughly; shampooing is not necessary. If you have dry hair, apply a little conditioner to the ends. A final rinse with 1 liter of water and half a glass of vinegar is recommended; this helps set the color and leaves the hair shiny and soft. Henna paste can also be frozen for storage and to enhance pigment release.

Warnings: Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Rinse thoroughly if it gets into the eyes. An allergy test is recommended to check for sensitivity to the product. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place. People with favism: consult a doctor before use.
