Antioxidants, beta-carotene, flavonoids, sterols, vitamins E and K and other naturally occurring phytochemicals contribute to sea buckthorn composition. The gamma-linolenic acid found in sea buckthorn is synthesized in the skin into prostaglandin, which in turn contributes to maintaining the skin’s moisture content and beautiful shape.
