Flaxseed flour is made from flax seeds (Linum usitatissimum). After gentle cold pressing to obtain linseed oil, the remain is called press cake, which is then finely ground. Flaxseed flour is high in fiber and its slightly nutty flavor makes it a valuable ingredient in cooking and baking. The recommended daily intake is a maximum of 10g (one heaped tablespoon).
