Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 165°C if using a fan-assisted setting, or 180-185°C for a conventional oven.
  • Prepare a small to medium-sized loaf pan (10x20cm or up to 12x24cm) by greasing it lightly or linting it with baking paper. 
  • In a bowl, mash 210g bananas well. Add 15ml milk, water or plant-based drink; 30ml oil or melted butter and 1 egg (if using - optional, improves texture). Mix until you get a smooth and even batter.
  • Add the entire package of dry banana bread mix to the wet ingredients. Stir until the mixture is fully combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it and allow it to cool completely.
